The rooms had comfy beds and a pool table that kept the kids entertained, providing a decent distraction from the less-than-stellar aspects. With plenty of tea and coffee available, it was nice to have that little extra touch while unwinding.
The decor throughout the place feels a bit aged, making it less inviting than it could be. Access to the hotel was tricky at first, with an unresponsive phone line and a locked door at check-in. The rooms suffered from low shower pressure and heat issues, requiring open windows which could be a concern in cooler months. Tiny towels added to the discomfort, suitable for draping over a toy rather than drying off a person. it served its purpose as a stopover but could benefit from some improvements.

Consider me officially shocked
We faced quite an ordeal during our stay. the manager's rudeness was a surprising start. The overall cleanliness left much to be desired, with dust and dampness overwhelming the senses. It felt more like a chore than a holiday, making it hard to overlook the many issues we encountered.

the amenities could use some updates.

the lack of cleanliness was astounding, especially the shower covered in dirt. also, the bed was as hard as a rock, making sleep impossible, but honestly, who needs a good night’s rest anyway? after all that, i expected some sort of complimentary upgrade as a gesture of goodwill but no such luck. absolutely disheartening.

Blackpool bliss 🇿🇦🌊
Had a lekker time with my son! Peter was super chill, helped us find extra tea and made sure we were comfy. The small room was just what we needed for a quick stopover, and that cafe nearby was a gem!
Place is a bit old-school, could do with a bit of a makeover.

Everything was impeccable.

The family room provided ample space for our crew. A nice location near attractions made it convenient for quick outings.
Bunk beds existed too close to the radiator, posing safety concerns, especially for younger children. The bathroom showed signs of neglect, with dampness and dirt dampening the experience, while the mattress felt more like a trampoline with exposed springs. Sights of a dirty bed base, unsightly stains on walls, and broken fixtures added to an overall lack of cleanliness.
